Thanks guys, but I wasn’t even there. I’m just the messenger. 
I’m thinking this was maybe someone from out of town. Either that or maybe they store their rods in a compartment on the boat and don’t even know they’re gone. These are very nice set ups, so they obviously belonged to an avid fisherman. If they were local, and know they are missing, it seems like someone either on here or FB would have at least heard about it from the owner.
