rookie grand meat slam

went out with james g. and his cuz jonas,& my mate waterboy. headed out to the sw banks on small but confused seas, took three hrs, and lines in at 7. bite was slow most of the day starting out with a wahoo hitting a flat line and got some air for about 25’, awesome to witness as the rookie jonas boated his frist saltwater fish. found a godd weedline that ran for a good distance and picked at the rather small fins. after a few hrs. we headed out deep and didn’t find much life and only a few flyers. crossed back over the ledge around the outcrop and saw some fleeing flyers, watched one get air ,stall in the wind a big bft met him half way down, great show, dragged the spread over him and he hit the dink on the port outrigger and had the frist reel smoker of the day, The rokkie knocked down two as he went for the rod. after 30min and a good bit of left arm shaking he boated his frist tuna. with dolphin, a hoo and tuna that is pretty much a trolling meat slam, and for a newby aonce in a life time trip. it made the day for all of us, ended the day with 9 fins,1 hoo and the tuna. we missed some good fish due to failed equip. mistakes and screwups, but it was the frist time this boat fished with this crew and we will improve in the future. we had a great ride in and thanks to the capt. for taking us.

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.
