rough day!

Finally a nice break in weather yesterday per sailflow and the CHS.com resource. Headed to SW banks area. A lot of marsh grass I guess from last weeks big tides. Trolled for Wahoo NO luck, Caught one Dolphin about 15 lbs{first this late). The 1foot forecast turned into true 3-4foot crap about 2:00 for ride in… So much for that wonderful forecast!!! Nasty ride home for sure 3.5-4 hr @ 15mph at landing 5:45pm. Is there a better resource for weather? I looked at the 41004 buoy to compare what we witnessed and buoy…it showed 2’@ 10 sec, sailflow too. The one thing I noticed was waves from ESE @ 2’BUT, the windwaves were SW @ 2.3’ so it was pure slop!! Guess I learned something new~~~WATCH FOR OPPOSING waves/winds.

NOAA, Bouyweather, Sailflow and Reefcast all said one foot at 10 seconds. It was more like two feet at two seconds.
