tried the ritualistic fishing after night shift again this morning and well just say yesterday was better! first cast within 10 seconds my line gets smacked and its heavy and stripping. im well aware that big fish 1st cast is usually bad luck and this case yup it is! i recover some of that line and see an overslot red probably 26-28" come up. makes another couple runs and finds the oysters…SNAP! i tie on another jig and next cast hook another red about the same size in the same area. hey look oysters!..SNAP! tossed for another 45 or so and got 1 more hit that didnt commit and that was all. surely someone out there is laughing…whoever you are youre welcome for the morning entertainment! 
I feel your pain brother though big bites and break-offs beats no bites at all. Been there and done that.
this is very true dfreedom coming home with a list of excuses is better than a completely dry line lol. just gotta try it again tomorrow.
definately improved this morning! 2 reds that were 15.5" and 18" and 3 trout at 13.5", 16.5", and 17.5" in 1 hour of fishing. just couldnt find the flattie though!
