I’m seriously eyeballing a kayak for sale locally, an Old Towne Sea Otter II (two seater) 14’. I like it b/c it’s a sit-in style, large cockpit for rods/tackle, and looks easy enough to handle. I’ve been a boat paddler for eons (cut my teeth paddling a 16ft aluminum all over an 18 acre lake). I also like the idea of a kayak being more dependable in rough lake water than a canoe. I’ll be using it on Marion/Moultrie, possibly a few rivers-- and of course some saltwater creeks. Those lakes can get pretty rough on a windy day.
