We headed south on Sat, 4/30. Riding along for the day were Lars, Brian, Mark, and Scott. The seas were great, a lot better than we were thinking it was going to look like. We started fishing at 200’ and found most of the fish all day over 300’. We ended the day with 7 gaffer dolphin and had a sail knock down 2 baits. Brian released a nice dolphin after several tries. Great day on the water and a great ride home. Can’t wait for the next time!
Breaking day
Brian’s Go Pro camera, got to get me one of these for Father’s Day.
Thanks again Scott for the trip!! Let me know when you want to go again!
These pictures don’t do the boat justice. NO expense was spared it is just plain bad a$$! Scott is a SUPER guy to fish with!
Highlights of the day,
Sleeping in the bean bag on the way out. Waking up to see the sun rise and noticing the sloppy ocean. Could not feel it in that boat but you could see the confused waves. It flat eats it up!
Reeling in a dolphin and someone hands Lars the gaff. I look at him and say “Here he comes. Don’t Miss!” I got the “What the heck look?” and then he makes a perfect head shot. I think I offended him.
Saw multiple big covies, flocks, schools, what ever they are called of fliers shoot out of the water in front of the boat. Very cool to see.
Great nap on the ride home, made quick work on cleaning everything up and got back to the upstate at a reasonable time.
Great day and fun crew!
Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
Be sure that you send me a copy of ALL of the videos on the Go Pro camera, including the “text book” release video. No editing out the conversations that transpired after the release. The part where, “I quit” or something to that extent.
I did have a great time and would like to do it again with the same group.
