Hey guys. Looking around at Google Earth, checking out different parts of rivers and such to maybe take my boys fishing to and I noticed that there is a boat launch on the south side of the Wando, East of the the 41 Bridge, right at the base of the bridge.
Basically, is this a public launch? I can’t find a reference for it anywhere, making me think it is not, but I figured I’d ask anyway at the risk of sounding like a noob. Thanks.
If that is the one behind the gas station then it is not public. Not sure what the name of it is though.

Yeah, from Google Earth it looks like it is behind a gas station. Oh well, thanks for confirming.
It is a private boat ramp. I think the fees are now $375 annually. It’s well worth the minimal price. It’s a great facility, that puts you in a great location for fishing.

I kept my boat at Joe’s facility for 2 years. He is top notch.
FYI, the current RIPS through that point like you wouldn’t believe. Bent one of my trailer guides trying to get the boat in straight one day. Timing is everything.

Joe is a great guy and the place is nice. Current is tough to deal with. Its worse than most places becasue the ramp sticks out and it rips around the point. With no dock or poles its kind of raming speed on your trailer…
