Ruger BX-25 magazines

If you haven’t seen any other of my posts about “high cap” magazines, essentially I’ve been doing a lot of buying lately, but ONLY IF I can get reasonable prices… Typically this involves getting on someone’s back order list and having some patience…

Just an update. I ordered 5 (the max) of the high capacity BX-25 magazines from Ruger (www.shopruger.com) a couple of months ago. They came in last week. I just submitted for another order of 5 magazines. So, if you want more of these mags (they might be permanently banned in the near future), then you may want to hop on the backorder list before it’s too late… Worst case scenario is that you would have great magazines at their normal prices and could get rid of them later if you kept them NIB.

The price is $31.95, each. I’ve seen them going for $49 in a local gun shop and upwards of $90 on gunbroker.

Happy shopping…

$32 from Ruger, I thought these sold for $25? Or that is what I paid for mine from Midway USA.

Midway = out of stock, no backorder

I know, I was just wondering if Ruger raised the price or if that is retail and Midway had disounted them.

They do show stock coming available in April. Those mags are pricey, but the best.

That, I am not sure about. Typically when you buy straight from the manufacturer they will be a tad bit higher. To me, paying a little more from a trusted source is worth it though... My local gun shop is selling them for $49.

Midway, Natchez, Mid South, Graf & Son’s, Brownell’s etc all buy volume and wholesale then discount them. Straight factory orders are usually at full retail prices. Natchez will allow you to reserve a certain number of a stock item if they are backordered, Midway and the rest will not. Midway and the rest are usually higher than Natchez as well.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Natchez, nor Brownells doesn’t carry the BX-25. Also, I saw that Natchez did have some Glock mags in stock, but they were $35. I’ve been getting them from Glockmeister for $29.

You’re right SJ, Natchez doesn’t always carry everything, especially for “assault/defense” type rifles. I was speaking in more general terms of supplies and in regard to the back-order status. Natchez is generally cheaper than Midway with a few exceptions. The only issue with them is to make a larger order because their shipping rates are high.

I’d check places like PSA as well, they seem to be doing a good job of keeping prices reasonable during this rush.

I bought another firearm from them around Christmas. The trouble is that the stuff on their website always seems to be out of stock when I check... They don't even list the price when it's out of stock...

I think you need to go in and talk with them. They sponsor over on SCDUCKS.com and give a little insight on availability. I think someone told me that Sat AM and Monday AM are the times to be there in person but I’m not sure on that. I’m not into the black “scary” gun craze, I’m more of a big scope bolt gun from a very long ways off sort.

I live in Miami so it's hard to be there in person. I bought my gun in person when I was there. So, what I care about is who can ship "pre-ban" materials to me before it's too late!

Also, I lost my password on scducks years ago and they admins won’t write me back when I request the account be updated.

I have never seen a BX-25 in call of duty.

You sure that’s zombie killer certified, bo?

No, but it's a certified investment, bo...

Here are some more if you are still investing.

Saw a bin of about 50 of them on sale at Sportsmans Warehouse as well. Think i’ll pick up a few more.

Not gonna get blindsided next time. Loading up on all ammo and mags this time BEFORE the next shortage. I just wish gun powder would come back around.
