Running dredges on CC

planning on running a couple dredges this year of my 25’ center. i know its a lot for such a small boat but i am a firm believer in the bigger splash in the water you make the more attention you draw, especially for us of the mosquito fleet variety. was thinking of possibly running both off down riggers at 90 degrees so they can be cleared or one off the down rigger and another off a cleat on the gaffing side to avoid tangles.

just seeing if anyone else out there is doing this and if so what methods they have found effective. thanks

I run a 2 tier dredge off of my penn fathom master 620. i was having trouble retrieving it while the boat is trolling so i put a pulley system on it and it made all of the difference. check out this page to see how to do it http://www.thehulltruth.com/sportfishing-charters-forum/512708-best-manual-downrigger-pulling-dredges.html
you want to make sure that you can retrieve your dredge quickly and easily so i would recommend doing this over pulling it off of a cleat.
