Has anyone run out of here within the last couple of weeks? I’ve heard there is some dredging going on and there are unlit bouys a couple of miles out. Anyone have any insight? If weather holds up going to try and go out early Sat AM.
Ran thru there this morning, I saw zero buoys that you speak of. What size boat are you running?

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
I have a friend that got a whole new boat and all new front teeth because of unlit dredging buoys. If they are unlit, report them to someone. I’m not sure who, but that’s no joke.

I would recommend going to the fuel dock on IOP and asking those guys if they have heard anything. If dredging is happening chances are the crew is going in and out of IOP marina. Maybe even do a scouting run Friday afternoon to see if you see any dredging. Regarding who to call if they aren’t lit, DNR would be your best bet. Worst case you just go ease out the first few miles using a spotlight. Adding 20 minutes to your ride is better than sinking the boat. Be safe and hope to hear a good report from you guys.
