Our swim platform has started to rust and bleed a rust stain down the transom. It is the standard platform that is of some type of tubular steel, not sure if chromed plated or what kind of finish it has. My queston is do I sand away the rust and treat with polish or paint or what? It’s still in great shape, just looks bad.
Try some bar keepers friend it’ll remove the rust on the chrome and the transom…

I used Bar keepers friend and it cleaned the rust stain on the transom but what do I do to to stop the metal from rusting again.
you may have screws somewhere that are rusting.
