Need a few more details. What did this person look like? Was he fishing alone? What part of the Saluda did you see him in?
Saw him fishing around the zoo. Never seen anything like this guy, was killing fish just to kill him. Its people like that, in their inflatable rafts, that i just want to watch sink into the depths. If you can’t respect nature, don’t ruin it for the rest of us.
The mighty Saluda will have its revenge, sooner or later.

Could you expound on the “killing fish just to kill them?” Was he practicing poor catch-and-release tactics, or was he catching fish and clubbing them with a bat? Keeping them? Tossing them back in?

How was he killing the fish? Catching them and just throwing them on the bank, whacking them in the head, or just gut hooking them every so often?
B****ing because someone is catching fish and you weren’t isn’t cool, but that’s kind of how it sounds.

It’s catch and release only in the Lower Saluda from June 1 to Sept. 30. If crap like this continues DNR may nix that.
On the lower reach of the Saluda River from June 1st to September 30th, it is unlawful to take or possess striped bass. Striped bass taken must be returned immediately to the waters from where it came.

U can fish from the cable below the dam all the way down to Gervais Street. Catch and release only. Once u go below Gervais Street you fall into the Santee rules.

But from the latest shocking that was done I would say the majority of saluda stripers aren’t even in legal waters 
got a report of a few 40+ that were shocked up along with many more pigs…

Not salty about him catching fish, i’ve been fishing on the river for quite some time now and caught my fair share of hawgs. When you witness someone stab a fish in the head and throw it back you would be upset as well. You can question my claim all you want, i’m jus trying to make others aware of the injustices that I witnessed. Keep your eyes out.

Ditto on the more info. I spend a lot of time on the Saluda,Broad,and Congaree. Like to know exactly what to look for while I’m out there.Please provide more of a description of the guy. I will be more than glad to call Operation Game Thief. May even be able to find out where he’s putting in and taking out,hopefully get a license tag and make of vehicle.
