S4G, Full Pull, VA beach, Tuna, Marlin 24-Aug PICs

I know I have been MIA for this year but made the move from the upstate to Charleston and I have been SLAMMED with very little time for anything. Finally got the opportunity for a little vacation!

Got the call from the Full Pull boys! Well… maybe not the “call” I begged pleaded and wiggled my way onto the boat. Plan was to leave early Monday morning and marlin fish all day, come back regroup then hit them again Tuesday UNLESS the weather was nice and then we would tuna fish Monday night!

Got to VA beach Sunday afternoon. Wind was blowing a bit so we went gokarting. Capt Riggs slipped past me on the 2nd lap and determined to catch him, I put us both into the wall and broke my Iphone6 in half that was in my pocket… No Bueno… So no pictures from that event.

Back to the boat for final preparations!

4am, Captain Riggs, JW, Hwilcox, Tad Pole, Bill, Peewee, Tripp and I steam out to the grounds!

Deployed the spread in about 30 seconds as Peewee, Tripp, and Riggs had apparently done this once or twice before.

Just a few minutes later Riggs shouts “He’s on the left teaser!! Left Teaser!!” Crew jumps into action! Perfectly placed ballyhoo, slide the drag forward and… FISH ON!!

After a quick release we are back at it! Then is SLOWS down…
Had a few more shots through out the day and maybe a few misses by yours truly, but no reason to harp on those…:face_with_head_bandage::smiley:

Wilcox kept and Eagles eye on the spread… during his power nap.

As the morning moved to afternoon and some looks at the weather Riggs and JW made the call to camp out and try for the tunas! The TLD30s were put away and the

Guess on weight?

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

I am guessing 238. However the fish Ryan is cutting looks smaller than the one your standing beside. Maybe a good fish photographer made it look bigger? After looking again I say 175

175#
