Part of tuna fishing is knowing you are going to lose rigs to the toothy critters. Had a game plan and stuck to it. We got lucky on the big hoo, the line was frayed terribly by the time he got in the boat. 30 more seconds and it may have been about the 130pound hoo that got away. (The ones that get away automatically gain 50 pounds when the line breaks or the fish pulls.)
Not to mention you got to let some get away so you have a reason to go back.
