Great bait catcher! Be carefull of all those sharp little hooks. I have never used them when I haven’t had to pull out hooks in my hands when I takeoff the bait and they are flipping all over the place. Just grab a pair of needle nose and start jerking them out.

at least they don’t put barbs on em. I have just put the whole rig over the bait well and shook it a bit. most come off.

I saw a video years ago about taking bait off with a butter knife. I got me a butterknife and cant find the darn video again.

Bait de-hooker - cheap over the counter.
Simple to make:
-cut a stainless steel welding rod in half
-sharpen one end to a point
-cut an old broom handle into 4" lengths and round edges off
-drill a hole slightly smaller than diameter of rod, go in an inch or so
-hammer rod in snug
-bend an open J on far end
-paint wood to match whatever…
Can make a dozen in 30 minutes, never have to go looking for one again.

Spend the extra coin and get sabikis rigged with fluoro.
