The whole of the events surrounding the Warrior’s death are so strange. He’s had a very strained, even spiteful, relationship with WWE for a couple decades at this point. He’s had a blog where he’s said a lot of really hateful things about some of his former colleagues.
But then at Wrestlemania the other day, he was inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame, and gave the credit for his success to the fans. His words in that speech made it clear that death was definitely on his mind. Then, he dies the next day. Just terrible, and sad.
Several wrestlers, like Jake Roberts, have already said that they were glad to meet him again and had seemed to have set aside their differences.
I am hoping that his death was not a suicide.
I gave up on watching wrestling when it turned 20, which was quite a number of years ago. I just got tired of the smut they were adding (as if watching greased up men pretend to combat in their underwear wasn’t already smut, of some sort). But Warrior was one of my childhood icons, as was Hulk, Flair, and Sting.
My prayers are out for the family of the Warrior, who actually will continue to bear his name, since their legal surname is “Warrior”.
Saying “I am offended” is telling everyone else that you cannot control your own emotions, and thus you need everyone else to do it for you.
Actually he was inducted on Saturday night, was at Wrestlemania on Sunday, then on Raw on Monday, then is gone on Tuesday.Does seem strange the way he talked and some of the words he said, maybe he knew that his time on earth was about over.I guess we will really never know the truth.

Double D.
I have read other wrestlers and associates at WWE write that there were times that Warrior was more hunched over than they expected. When he comes to the ring on Raw, you can tell that he had no intent whatsoever to display the Warrior persona in full force. When he went to go shake the ropes, he just tugged on them rather briefly gently (at least, gentle by Warrior standards). He wouldn’t have held back on that at all without a good reason.
Then he gives that speech. I doubt very highly that he suspected he’d die so very quickly after that, but from every angle I can see it, it seems that he knew very well that something was wrong. He wasn’t acting quite right (much more reserved than you’d expect, even at 54 yrs old) and then starts talking that talk.

Blackjack Mulligan was my childhood favorite wrestler… I too gave up on it around 20.
