Sad news

http://old.charlestonfishing.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=79633

I know this is old news but the buddy of mine that was fishing with me that had brain cancer died Sunday after a sudden turn of events starting Friday night. I got to see him briefly Saturday and thought he would be ok but were called back to the hospital Sunday around lunch and Mike passed on to be with the Lord around 4:00 pm Sunday. It was very peacefull and Mike was ready to go and he and his wife’s biggest fear was he would have a long drawn out battle that zapped his quality of life from him but that did not happen.

We went back to their house Sunday night and his wife played a video of him sky diving 2 weeks ago and he even mentioned our fishing trip . I guess now that I reflect on that day on the water the fish did not bite so that we could spend time together telling tales and laughing at a lot of our friends and buddies.

Mike will surely be missed, he was a great Christian, Father, Husband, Friend and community volunteer that never knew the word NO.

Mike RIP

I will treasure that day the rest of my life and thanks for the thoughts.

Everyone is doing well and Mike did not want any sorrow, he knew where he was going and was ready to go. He was wide open like always up until Friday night and even then he was worried about the bbq he was doing for a friend on Saturday and how they would get the bbq to them. Mike was a one of a kind
