Is anyone planning to submit public comments for the upcoming SAFMC meeting?
Is anyone interested in coordinating a message so our comments have more influence?
Make it simple for everyone.
You guys that are good with words and have all the correct data…(you know who you are)…can help others out by posting a “copy and paste” message that others could use.
I’ll send comments, but my problem is that I have to be careful in what I write because the blood pressure begins to rise and the fingers can’t stop and next thing you know I’m ranting and my comments are 2 pages long.

Public Comments for December SAFMC Meeting
Please focus the Visioning Project efforts on properly managing quotas with appropriate possession limits to avoid extended closures that result in excessive regulatory discards and reducing discard mortality rates.
Please focus Regulatory Amendment 17 efforts on enhancing existing Marine Protected Areas with appropriate artificial reef habitat rather than rushing to close traditional fishing grounds based on “fatally flawed data”.
Please work with willing fishermen to find ways of collecting better data for stock assessments.
