Sail on 5/20

Decided last minute to take the boat off for the first trip of the year. Left Ripley after fueling up, lines in at 11:30.

Picked at a couple of peanuts on way out to 130’. At 2:30 had a double on sails in 130’. 8 year old son on one and 13 year old daughter on the other. Managed to get the daughter’s fish. Her first billfish ever and only second offshore trip.

Pretty amazing to see the sails in that close this time of year.

Black and red Billy Bait on the flat and pick and white chugger on the rigger took the two sails. Water temp 73-76. Fished south and inshore of Edisto Banks.

Congrats on the sails. We caught a sail and saw another in 130’ last weekend in the same area.
