Wife and I headed out of the Stono Inlet at 6:30. Ride out was very bumpy. Scattered weeds at 140’. Pushed out deeper and found a rip with no weeds. Decided to give it a try. Caught 5 dolphin within 2 hours decent size with multiple short strikes. Line went off again and thought it was a dolphin until it started peeling off a lot of line. Seen that it was a bill fish but wasn’t sure until it got closer to the boat. Good fight for about 25 minutes. Wife put on the gloves and took the hook out with a good release. My first Sailfish. Found another rip with some scattered weeds and picked up 4 more dolphin. Called it a day. Ocean laid down. Ride in at 45mph.
Nice thanks for the report. The wife and I enjoyed watching the video last night. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty work. Looked like a nice sized sail for SC.

Great video! Congrats. Boat is not too shabby either…
Nice!!!
I thought there was no such thing as a bumpy ride in that boat???
A little bumpy but no slamming or jarring at all. Very comfortable ride. Wife and I have been in some rough conditions and have never had a hard hit if you know what I mean. The boat rides better than expected in all sea conditions. No complaints about the boat. New boat is on order.
