Salinity and Kings

Hi everyone,

I have a question for the kingfishing Gurus out their.

We have had a great deal of rain the past few days and know that it is washing through the harbor as I speak. Does the decrease in salinity of the salt water in and near the shipping channel have any effect on the location or feeding of Kings?

Thanks,
DukeLeto

I would think it would push the kings back out from shore, but who knows.

Bait are affected more than kings, tuna, dolphin or all pelagic fish. Follow the bait and you will find the fish…

“The big one’s still swimming, let’s go.”

Follow the bait. I second that. Kings were on the beach this weekend. I mean on the beach with the bait…
