had lines in around the Edisto banks at 7:15 after passing a nice weedline at about 115’ but my ole man wanted to go out to the ledge. Anyways had a slinger in the box after 15 minutes but things dropped off after that. caught one decent phin just before lunch and then slow again. action picked up at about 1:45 once we got back to about 130’ put two more slingers in the box and then caught a nice 25#er. shortly after caught one more slinger and as soon as he was in the box, another bait took off and after abotu 10 minutes had a nice 30# wahoo in the box. decided to end the day on a high note and pack it in around 4. Most of the action came on a purple sea witch that was behind a green squid chain. actually had one of the phins nail the teaser 30 or 4 times before he took the bait. This was only my second trip the year so we were fired up to catch a nice phin and top the day off with a wahoo. Ended the day with 4 slingers, 2 gaffers and an nice wahoo. Had a great day with family and friends and coulnd’t have asked for nicer weather.
