Salt Water Registry???

Had some phone solicitor call me under the premis he was calling for the SCDNR with a questionairre. Said he was from " the National Salt Water Registry" a group that MANDATES a $15 dollar fee from all salt water fisherman except those in South Carolina, since we have our own registry. He then starts to ask me all these questions, how many times have I fished in the past two years, do I have a REGISTERED CAR and Boat…once he started asking if I have a SC Drivers license I told him to “eff” off. Well, I’m 49, have never heard of the National Salt Water Registry, especially a group that mandates a $15 fee, except from SC residents. He knew my name and that I had a three year SW license.

Ok…I just read their website and it is legit…didn’t mind answering some of their questions but they started asking about my car and my driver’s license which I thought was odd.

i answer nothing,no matter what you say they twist it for their needs.

Not sure but I think this is the new survey for estimating the recreational catch as opposed to the old survey which call people from coastal county households at random. Now they only call licensed anglers and this is suppose to make the data far more reflective of what is actually going on.

have never heard of the National Salt Water Registry,

You need to get out more …
