Im looking at a 1999 Sea Pro with a 150 Yamaha saltwater series II. I was wondering what the opinion was on saltwater series II engines? any advice would be appreciated.
carb or fuel hours? either way they r tough as nails
I have a 97 Sea Pro with the 150 Saltwater II series motor. I have not been easy on it, and the only thing done to it is a recent carburator rebuild. Of course the plugs get changed annually as well as the lower unit oil. This motor continues to give great service.

I just bought a 22’ Bay boat with a 150 ox66 saltwater…imo…they are the best engines out there…

I have a 2003 and haven’t had any problems with it yet. Runs now like the day she was new. If you buy it make sure to get a compression check and look at the lower gear oil.
