Anyone use a saltwater trotline in the harbor with any success? I saw in the Scdnr rules and Regs book they were legal up to 50 hooks but have never seen anyone use one. Also does anyone know where I could buy a heavy duty one for this application. Thanks
What are you going to use it for if you don’t mind me asking? Only trouble I would see with one is hooking a big shark and having it pulled off somewhere, never to be seen again! Or, you would have to sit there and watch it all day and make sure no one ran over and cut it. Even with nice big pretty floats on it, people would run over it thinking they were crab trap floats. Yeah shark would definitely mess things up wondering how other people use them if at all.
