Fished the morning on sunday. Put in at metts and never made it to Gardendale. Water was just to low (2.5’) was the reading for sceg. Only caught 3 fish. 2 peanuts and a nice fish about 26-27". Thise fish came on cut bait after I stopped pulling planer boards. While pulling boards early on I Did lose one probably 15’ from the boat that would have EASILY gone 20#+. Blew a 10" gizzard up like nothing I had seen before. Also had another big gizzard take off later on but no hook up. Got to watch that fish chase the giz around for at least 5 min before taking off with it.
Fished a fluke as well when I was spotlocked. Had several fish boil on it but would never take it. Prob just a reaction since they have been eating floating herring for 3 days now…ha
