Be interested to see what others from the Upstate have to say.

They (NC Fisheries) will have started the fall fish stocking program. Check out the county by county stocking schedule. If you are staying in Saluda, the Green River is right there East of I-26. I could even show you a couple of places if I’m around. Shoot me an e-mail and let me know.

King, I go up to Charlotte and Greenville quite often for business…wanted to work in a side trip to fly fish if I could. Let me know what you find out. Jon

The NC delayed harvest program will begin in early October. The Green River below Saluda is heavily stocked at that time of the year and can be great fishing. The North Mills between Brevard and Asheville is in the DH program also and will hold many fish.

Check out Curtis Wright Outfitters in Saluda. www.curtiswrightoutfitters.com. Carlton or maybe Kelly are usually in the shop. It’s just off of I-26 at the Saluda exit.

Good luck on finding water. I took a client to the NMills area and the water was the lowest I’ve seen it in years. I believe I would stick to the larger rivers for now. Upper end of Chatooga or GR still producing well. Good Luck
