Can you catch sand fleas on the beaches around charleston? If so does anyone know what months they can be caught, or conditions. Basically any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
I was catching them in October and November. They catch them up north and down and Florida so I think they can handle all of our weather. Its more a location thing. I’ve only found them in the 1 block on the beach that I’ve found them. I can’t tell you where though. Sorry. But we do have them and I’ve never seen them anywhere at folly so that’s 1 beach you can mark off. Once you know what they look like you can find them easily.

40 is the bait master for sure
Ruffly 30-40 years ago I used to get a lot of them from Edisto Beach, but it seems after all the renourishment projects you rarely if ever find them.
Could sit just up from the waves at low tide and and run your hand through the sand and find oodles of em. Superior bait for Pompano, ours are smaller than you’ll get in Florida, but off the Southern Beach on Edisto and Otter Island you can catch em in the surf.
