Sandbars to chill at?

Just moved over to Mt P (from west Ashley) and looking for a good sandbar to pull the boat up to in the Wando. We used to love the one near the limehouse bridge to bring the kids to and wade in calm, shallow water with a sandy bottom that we could pull up on. I know Morris, capers, dewees aren’t too far but was wondering if there is a “party spot” anywhere up the Wando that people congregate that would be closer.

Upper Wando, past the 41 bridge on the left hand side after the bend. There’s a nice secluded beach where you’ll find 5 or so boats tied off on any given weekend. It’s a nice little family spot. The beach there is covered in sharks teeth and the kids will love it.

Perfect, thanks!!

Watch out for gators up there. Watch the little kids and pets. I’ve got a friend that lived on Paradise Island and they are up there for sure.

You’re welcome. Have fun. The kids will love that beach. They’ll fill their hands with sharks teeth in no time up there.

Hey KillinR, is that on the upper side of the bridge or lower side?

It’s on the upper side. Its probably a mile or so up the river.

Cool, thanks. My wife loves to hunt for shark’s teeth.
