Gonna take my son out Sunday n stripper fish round the blowout at santee, will do a lil trolling n a lil bottom fishing with cut bait. I haven’t really tried targeting strippers here before, am I on the right track? What y’all think? Thanks in advance
Wish I could help, but I’ve never fished for stripers on Santee. Based on what I know about stripers though, I’d take a long look at downrodding deep around the Pinopolis Dam if I had to fish it cold. Good luck.

The fish should be schooling around the lower end of the cannel eary and late or all day on overcast days. Try casting top waters and buck tails to brakeing fish, Watch out for diving gulls and boat races!
