Heading out to the lakes today. Anyone been having any luck with the stripers out here?
My son caught several schooling about a week or so ago, very close to the Hatchery. Maybe a few just inside.
hope you catch them, went last Wed. and caught 50+ in a few hours, Thurs. about 20, both days caught plenty of “slot” fish, Monday ZERO. I’m hoping the next cold front will wake them up again.
That’s impressive! What part of the lakes were you at? I have been pretty unsuccessful this year so far.
What lure were you all using?
upper Moultrie not far from the canal, white bucktail jig with silver or green fluke trailer. I’ve been twice since then and zero both trips, just got lucky I think
Ya sounds like it. I am off work Monday and will be going out. Hopefully can have some luck. I usually drift live bait and throw artificials as well if I see any activity on the sonar. Maybe Monday will be better.
