Looking for tips for catfish and striper fishing on the rediversion. Is it better to still fish or drift baits this time of year? Also how’s the current/water level?
Water is high but I’ve never fished for striper or cats there.
Both work well. I drift some day’s and some days I anchor up. Depends on how much the water is moving. If there is a good current going then I drift and slow current I anchor up. My daughter and son in law are out there this morning, soon as I hear something from them I will post it.

3 blues and a channel cat is all they got. Cut herring and chicken gizzards on the drift.

Arrowhead Landing.
Did fish the diversion canal yesterday. The wind was blowing good but we did manage to get 12 decent cats in about 2 hours of fishing. Cut herring and shrimp seemed to work the best. The water was pretty stained and moving at a good pace. Better than sitting at home wishing I was fishing.

congrats! strong NW wind for several days and water from the upstate has the water high and muddy but I guess the fish still gotta eat
My nephew and his girlfriend were down from Alaska and they wanted to get out and fish so that was the closest and easiest place to go for the day. Made a good meal though. I kid of figured the heavy rains from upstate was causing the water problem, looked like chocolate milk almost.
