My newest original design, the “Sassy Shrimp.” I like fishing with this fly for tailing Redfish on the flats. It works well in thick grass. I gave out a bunch recently at the last meeting of the Long Bay Fly Fishers. Changed the design slightly, but like the “bend back” concept that makes it weedless without having a weed guard.

Stupid answer but I work it all of the ways you describe depending on the situation. I have a few that I’ve tied for Pawleys Island Outdoors but not able to tie enough. I will be glad to take some photos of the process and show you how I make them if you are interested
