Sat 1/31

Slept in and put in around Noon and headed out to the Near Shore reef to look for sheephead. Greeted with light wind and a nice ride. Temp in harbor around 50 degrees. Caught a couple of small seabass but that was it. By now it was after 2:00 and decided to push on out. Went to some live bottom in 70’ and caught some 13" - 14" seabass, but nothing else worth mentioning. Temp at 70’ was 55, a little chilly. Ocean was beautiful, we ran out at 35 and came in at 40. After two crappy weekends, it was very nice to get out for a boat ride and soak up some sunshine. Fried seabass for the superbowl is just a bonus.

Hope the seas are nice for the fleet in the morning!

Bait Boy backed out, but Guppy filled in for him very nicely!

Even better, my motor ran OK. Started out kind of rough, but cleared out and ran like a skalded dog on the way home. I ran my tank down pretty low today, next time I will get plenty of fresh fuel and see if that takes care of it.
