SAT 10/20 GTH

Fished in and around the Georgetown Hole on Sat. Ocean was not that bad going with the waves. Lines in at SW Banks around 8. 1st hit around 9:30, small blackfin on the way back. Pulled lines and ran to the hole. Trolled around there the rest of the day and picked up 4 more blackfin and a dolphin. Lost another dolphin at the boat. Lots of flyers around the banks, none at Georgetown Hole, Lots of bait down in the water column. Kind of nasty on the way in, ended up coming back through Mclellanville and down the ditch. Figured it only added 20 min and was a much better angle to come in. All tuna taken on blue/white islander, dolphin on pink white zuker. Saw two other boats all day

thanks for the report

Thanks for the info.

Fished in the 700s,saw one pod of bait pulled a blackfin off of it.Later picked up a slinger.Stacked up 3 to 5s,left early to see end of game, sorry day all the way around!!

We were at the hole all day saturday as well. Only 1 blackfin. Had a few sails come in but could not get mono to them fast enough. It was a long nasty ride in.

Thanks for the reports- was hoping to fish there this weekend but thats not happening now with this weather coming-
Chasin hows that FLIR vision running out in your boat- help alot?

Flir is awesome. Having a split screen w/ flir and radar makes you feel a little better about running through dark.

Chasin
What boat were you in? Only saw two all day

Same story. Spent Saturday at the hole, one knock down by noon. Picked up and worked back in to salvage the day with some bottom critters. Water was green and lifeless at the hole. 15 miles in yeilded a few weed lines and some fliers but we never put the trolling spread back out. Seas were sloppy. 61’ Viking, Dottie-R.

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.
