Sat. 10/9

A friend of mine caled me at 10:00 this morn to fish the incoming tide coming over the bar at Sullivans/Breach. Thinking the weather would hold (we were wrong) we paddled from Sta.30 to the bar. Once we got the yaks dragged onto the bar, we walked to the Breach side of the point. First cast of a mullet, I had a 3’ Bonnethead follow it back, but thats all he did. After 2 hours of catching a few Whiting here and there, and having 2 more 3’ Bonnetheads swimming over my feet, I put on a 3" mullet with his tail cut off. After a short retrive, BAM, either a Red or shark. 15 min later, yep, Bonnethead. The wind/chop/rain picked up, so we did too. Seafood Gumbo on the stove w/ a lb. of shark filet cookin’ now. Gonna be GOOD.
