Headed south on a choppy ocean and made it to 105’ before we were tired of the beating and wanted to fish. Lines in around 8 and made our way towards the ledge. First fish in 120’ king. Then one p-nut shortly thereafter. Next bite wasn’t until about 250’. We found a nice slick with tons of bait and some grass. Put 4 phins in the box quick. Then slow for a while longer. Turned back through the same area we caught the other fish in and put on more in the box. It was getting later so we decide to push our way back to the ledge before it was time to go. Get to about 175’ and hooked up to a big fish. After about 20 minutes and about 5 boatside runs later we get a 55 lb. wahoo in the box.
Totals
5 dolphin (biggest 15 lb.)
