This morning was pretty slow until I made a move. Istarted on a reliable point in 60 foot of water. I watched fish go by on the sonar for 1 1/2 hours with not a nibble. At 7:45 I moved on up the same point into 43 foot water and that got me into biting fish. I really dont understand what the diffrence was. Mabye they started biting whlie I was moving? I chummed and drummed. Biggest fish was 27"

A similar scenario unfolded for me and Wayne last Tuesday morning. I was marking good fish off the hump in 70 feet of water where my oldest son and nephew and I caught close to 90 pounds in a 15 fish limit a few weeks back. After being on good marks with not biters Tuesday morning, I moved up to 53 feet on the hump and we started catching nice ones… Guess if we knew all the answers ahead of time, it wouldn’t be as much fun:smiley:

Guess you are right the water temp up top is cool right now. I am seeing early summer temp so until it goes up I am gonna fish early summer pattern. It seemed to work today.
