Left Shem Creek at about 7 this morn. I gave “gasmoney” some gas money (as is usually the case) and headed out with his roommate who we’ll call…uh…Joe. Gasmoney had a few random numbers to check so we headed south. First spot we all just about got our limit of BSB so we picked 'em up and headed to the second spot. Joe must have blown the fish whistle an extra time or something ‘cause he was on fire. 3 red grouper and 2 gags in less than 30 mins…all nice keepers. Finished off our limit of sea bass with some nice green heads and continued on. We hit a few more spots and picked up a few pinkies and about a dozen b-liners or so while picking through the BSB. Ran back in just like we did going out…sittin’ down at 26 kts (drank a few more beers on the way in). Back at the dock at about 5. All in all…it was a pretty nice day. 123.5 lbs of grouper and 72 lbs BSB in the cooler. But, must give credit where credit is due: Joe put over 80 lbs of grouper in the boat himself (oh yeah…and a flounder in 95 ft)!
Supposed to be nice tomorrow too, and should be going again with gasmoney and thee pirate unless the bourbon gets the best of him tonight.
…probably should start thinking about where to watch the pre-game show
Totals:
5 Red Grouper
3 Gags
45 BSB
10-15 B-Liner
6 Red Porgy
1 Flounder
Tomorrow should be nicer than today. An occasional 2 footer today here and there, but overall it was nice and flat and the wind died around noon. Good luck tomorrow!
its not me you gota worry about… it that “wild one” we refer to as
“thee pirate” dont think we’re gonna make it tommorrow, but today will get me by for a litl bit.
If any of y’all see a yellow hulled center console named “Beer Ability” comin’ your way, grab your anchor and haul a**! They’re coming to cornhole your spot!!
…kinda makes you feel good though that they were fishin for real fish where we were gettin live bait!
Blackcloud, congrats on a great day!! Thats the kind of day I would want to have if someone would take me fishing. Great job.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up and loudly proclaiming, “WOW! What a ride!”
lone ranger, i’ll have to get in touch wid ya. i’m pretty limited on the days i can go bc my boat is only 18ft.(weather conditions) would b happy to fish wid ya any time you have an open spot, although i go back to work in 2 weeks and weekends will b bad for me. congrats on the cubera…(“way back when”) my buddies work at mt p seafood and i actually took a pic wid your fish. thats a hell of a fish! caught many cubera but nothing compared to that.
