Put in at the dam a little before 5PM and headed over to Ballentine. Got 2 23" fish in the first 10 minutes on pb’s, but then nothing for the next 30 min or so and then it was a slower bite with probably 2 shorts for every keeper. Weather turned out to be beautiful with very light winds and they were still biting after dark, so I wound up staying a little longer than planned. Wound up with 5 keepers to 25", catching the biggest one right before I left at 8:45.

That may not be fast and furious, Tim, but still not bad for about 4 hours. Glad to hear the fish are still hanging out in Ballentine. Any improvement in water temp yet?
Yea, they were biting pretty good. It was encouraging to see it keep going past dark too. I like to go alot after work on weekdays and won’t feel as rushed to get out there as early as possible.
I hadn’t been out this year other than last Sat, so I really haven’t been keeping up with the water temp, but it was 54 last evening. Looking at the weather for next week, it will surely be dropping back down a little.
