Saltwater Striper Fishing

Have not fished in a couple weeks due to work, but the fish were still in about the same area. We had twelve and finished around 10am two were 18" the rest between 21" and 25" all were caught on down rods anchored in 50 foot of water, fish were caught two cranks off the bottom. We lost a few due to inexperienced crew but before we were done they learned to keep the line tight when reeling a fish in. The rock fish were also killin the bait alot and not taking it.

If you don’t mind sharing, what area of the lake were you fishing. Not specific spot, just general location (ie. big pool, gap, mid lake). Hard to believe it was 109* a year ago, this years weather has been strange. Should be good for the fish.

I was about 1 mile from shull island on the 378 side of the lake.
