After getting blown out two days, we finally left dock Sat. am for a one day shootout. Could not get away from the dolphin. Could have caught as many as we wanted but ended up releasing 12 and keeping 12. Did catch and release a sail and had another billfish look at our longrigger. Don’t know if it was a marlin, but it was still nice to be one of ten out of 60 boats flying a flag. Capt. Reid had us in a “real fishy” spot all day but SHE never showed her face. Zach did a great job mating and had our rigs and tackle in A-1 condition. Thanks to boat owner Mark Daniels and son, Robert for another awesome trip! Capt. Roy Phillips introduced me to a new vittles machine the QX 100 or something like that. We grilled up some steak, egg and cheese breakfast burritos and ended up dining on some cashew-encrusted mahi served with a currie-habenero mango chutney! Congrats to Capt. Jamie Brown for the largest tuna and I think my G-Vegas buddy, Ed Holder won some cusash for the largest dolphin. Congrats to Big Game for the #1 spot with two marlin! Goin’ manana.
