Sat SCSSA 7-26

Fished inside the ledge, on the ledge, and out to 400’. Fishing was very slow. Lots of small dolphins on some weedlines, but nothing big. Seas were as calm as they get and it was overcast. Even when we stopped to pitch baits at the little dolphins, they were not very agressive like they commonly act.

Tagged 2 dolphin and boat released a few more. Kept one. All small. Saw lots of bait on the surface and the sounder. Nothing was bothering them. Got one wahoo in the 20’s inside the ledge. Also had a cuda and some AJ’s…oh and a bonita.

Had a lot of fun, but it was slow fishing. Looks like we may have done ok in the tourney as we were not the only ones having a slow day.

Heard some folks talking about some sailfish offshore and one guy said he released a 100 lb sail. Just reporting what I heard…
