Saturaday's Fishing-Sails & Boats

Couple of things in this message. Three of us went out of Remley’s on Sat. Left at 3:45 A.M. Went out aways. Lines in the water before daybreak. Caught a few peanut dolphin, Two Sails, 1/2 King-what was left was 25 inches (shark got the rest) a bunch of trash fishes. Beautiful day. About 1:00, got a weather alert. Severe T-Storms at Kiawah headed SE-OK no big deal for our Lat/Long. Severe t’Storms in Georgetown County headed SE with possible nickel size hail. OOPS! e had to come back on the ole 320 degree heading. Headed back in -Well at about 20 miles off, the leading edge of the storm approached with wind and lighting. The seas went from 2-3’s to 5-6’s or maybe more in about five minutes. SCARRY in the little 23 SEAFOX. Just slowed down eased over the big boys. Back side of the storm- it was like a lake- -only ripples on the water. Hit 26 knots back in. Saw the Knot@work guys out in the channel. Waved and they waved back- NICE GUYS! Further along the channel, off the end of the jetties-there were 23 boats fishing around the bouys and in the shipping channel. Slow trolling/Floating some ballons/ having a great day. They must have been having a big MACK attack. Back at Remley’s at 4:00, and were thankful that we (1) were safely home (2) Had a GREAT DAY with the TWO SAILS (3) And were blessed by the Great Fisherman upstairs so that we could fish another day.
