Saturday 1/12

Anybody going to head out tomorrow in the awful weather conditions

Think we may give it a go even with the big tides.

I have been planning on it. Not sure if it will be foggy or not??!!

Fog has already rolled in here close to the ocean.

Team Vinman will be on the Wando. Look for da black boat with the sad kids! Gonna be pretty above water, tough fishing below I have a feeling!

I think you’re right Vinman. I’ll be somewhere on the ICW so I probably won’t see ya. I won’t be in my boat though. Fog should be burned off before I get out there based on the tides (which suck by the way). The good news is that the playoff games don’t start until 4:30. Regardless it should be a nice day on the water.

I was wondering what it is about the weather pattern for the weekend that makes you guys skeptical about the fishing (or should i say catching) potential? Just trying to learn something.

With these big tides a couple things can make fishing tough and it mainly has to do with seeing the fish. The current will be pretty swift with the big tide, stirring up the bottom = dirty h2o. Hard to see fish in the water column when it’s murky. Also water will not go as low as usual. You’ll still have your chances if you already know where they are but sight fishing will be tough. Hope this helps.

Gotcha. That makes sense. Thanks RT.

I think you meant water will be much lower than normal. NEGATIVE tides this weekend. BIG NEGATIVE tides.

Ain’t that the truth. Weather was phenomenal all weekend. Glad I was able to get out and enjoy instead of doing the “honey dos”.
