Got out to the Y-73 at 7:30, dropped a line to check the spot and instantly hook up big. Goes slack and I pull up a huge vermillion head dripping blood. So we anchored out anyways and the weather starting looking rough. One after another the poles were bending over with Barracuda, Amberjack, and Red Snapper. The 2 red snappers were released healthy and swam back down, unfortunately the third one was ripped in half on the way up. Repositioned the boat and finally ran the grunts off when the snappers came running through. We instantly hit our limit on B-liners, brought in some nice sea bass, huge triggers, and my arms about gave up on me after getting an 8 ft shark to the boat. Even though it rained, we had a blast and stuffed the freezer full.
