Saturday (11/21) on the Wadmalaw

Still trying to figure out some new (to me) fishing grounds. Friend and I went out to hit the falling/rising tide. Could only get a few shrimp while throwing the net into the ENE ‘breeze’. Tried several spots on the incoming tide. Caught one keeper trout on live shrimp at a creek mouth then found some marsh with the tide rising to fill some flats and managed to land 4 undersize reds, all around 13-14". Also had two big hits that were lost when the fish started its’ run….drag too tight! No picture-worthy fish. Friend kept the trout along with about 8 good sized crabs. Not a bad day considering the wind and temps and passing shower!

Thanks for your report. I’m almost always checking that drag. Had a shark take off and almost lost one of my poles.
