Fished the lowcountry. Anglers tournament. Left wappoo cut at 8. Fished one harbor spot and caught 2 or 3 trout right off the bat, then decided to head up to my favorite creek in the wando. Well we got up the creek and fishes caught a decent flounder at 16" and small one right at 14" and a keeper trout , and a flounder in the cast net. Fished up the creek a ways with limited success with only croaker and stingray to show for it . Headed back out the creek at low tide looking for mullet, saw multiple schools and landed my net on top of them only to pull 1-2 in?? After catchin a dozen we left the creek, only to breakdown. Well thank god my cousin on board with a rowboat membership! I’ve always been saying how I wanted to get one but never got around to it because I’ve never broken down before. Needless to say next $100 I spend will be with towboat or seatow! Called them and waited, caught about while we were waiting n them. It took us and hour and a half to get from the 526 bridge to wappo under tow… made it to the weigh in and both the trout and flounder were 2# so nothing special. Congrats to ky buddy Dylan for and his friend for their spadefish ! For anybody that was at the weigh in at the end they saw my speech, I hops it wasn’t too bad as I had no idea I would giving one! On behalf of camp good times I’d like to say how much we appreciate the lowcountry anglers group and all of their donations and participation!
