Anyone going to make it out on Saturday?
Looks like the forecast has deteriorated a bit to 2 ft at 4-5 seconds and a chance of T-Storms on SailFlow.

Sailflow has been shooting us in the foot lately. We have called several trips based on their forecast and those that went reported good conditions. I have checked them against real time at the 41004 Buoy and they would sometimes be 10 mph on the high side. I use other sites also to make a decision, but Sailflow is not going to be near the top of my list in the future.

Sailflow like every other publicly available forecast wind guidance is derived from the GFS model. The quick look portion that is the default actually interpolates higher resolution NAM 12 and HRR data in for the first 12 and 36 hrs. No models are perfect and they all have their limitations, without a human forecaster with knowledge of local weather patterns and the real up to date surface analysis to guide hand editing of the forecast data there will be times the models perform poorly. Just know that when you change to some other “ source” that info is also coming from the same raw model forecast data. The quicklook interpolation outputs generally works better near the beach.
