Saturday and Sunday Inshore Hamlin Sound

I am planning on fishing the Inshore Hamlin Sound for Reds. Any suggestions? If too spooky, will there be trout out there in the deeper creeks? Worst case, would sheepshead be a good play along the docks on the ICW? We are putting in at IOP with a 17 foot flats boat. Any advice for new lowcountry residents?

Did you go? Hamlin Sound can very unforgiving to “rookies” in her waters. A flats boat is the weapon of choice and take it slow!

We went on saturday. Water was clear but wind was brutal. We could not see any schooling fish on the flats, no sign of activity anywhere. Noone we talked to had any luck. Tough conditions with the wind and the timing of the tide. Beautiful area.
